Tired Mumbai!

Have you ever noticed how tired our beloved Mumbai actually looks?? Well if you look around you'll know what I mean. Look out of the window and you'll see buildings with the paint pealing...makes you feel like it’s looking at you with pain and sorrow in its eyes. Tired of the atrocities inflicted on it. The street is full of dirt and grime. The trees are coughing away to glory. They are tired of soaking in all the carbon dioxide that just doesn’t seem to end. Then just look at the regular, everyday Mumbaikar... Do you see a twinkle in his eyes? a smile on his lips? a spring to his step? All I see are dull bored, tired people going around like robots. Heck even the clothes are mundane… If you travel by the local train everyday like I do…you will see the tired man in all his glory. Hes tired of trying to get into a train bursting at its seems… tired of going back to the same office to the same faces everyday.. tired of doing what they do… just “TIRED, TIRED, TIRED”. And all this just makes me wonder.. what will it take to make us “Live” again.. What do we need to stop existing and start living? We need to be excited about each new day. We need to jumpstart our day not crawl into it. We need more colour in our life…. So as a begining my blog has more colour in it....:) People..just make everyday a kickass one!!

PD classes

We used to have these regular personality development classes in college.
While most of it was chest thumping and patting your back..there was some stuff that has stuck with me even years later.
I remember, this prof. by the name of "Ruby Pavari" had come to college once... and she sung
this lovely song that i havent been able to forget since... It goes something like:
How can anyone ever tell you...
Your anything less than beautiful....
How can anyone ever tell you...
Your less than whole
How can anyone fail to notice....
How your loving is a miracle....
How deeply your connected to my Soul....

Whenever I am down and out... from nowhere its just comes back to me and make things seem so much better.
I hope everyone whose ever heard this song... takes away as much from it as i did...
It just makes me feel on the top of the world :)

Zindagi Rocks!!

Well as the title of my Blog suggests.. I saw Zindagi Rocks today!! The movie had very ok reviews but just had to see it cause it had Sushmita Sen playing herself..."A rock Star" and had Shiny Ahuja who also "shines" in the movie. But most of all I loved the movie for what it tried to say... In one line if I had to sum it up... it would be that, "In life all of us have the same size of problems, the only difference is how you make your life rock and actually live it despite everything thats thrown at u" It is sooo very true.. every single person in this world is unhappy about something.. wants to change something... wants something, and because of this we just forget to live the present moment. I know there are a zillion movies preaching the same message.... but we just need this dose to be given to us at regular intervals. Well for now... all I hope is that the effect of the movie lingers on... and when the time comes to go... I hope I can say "Zindagi Rocked"

The travel bug!!

We saggis by default are wanderers and travelers.. but these days the traveling bug is on an overdrive...It just keeps pestering me to get up and move my lazy ass.
Its making me wana leave everything and travel the world (or atleast get out of city).
But when i come to think of it... this love for traveling was instilled in me at a very young age. My dad loves traveling.. So I have kinda seen the world with him and mom. My first major trip was to the US and Europe. This was when I was a 12 year old kid but the memories are soo alive. It was our version of backpacking. Dad set out with 2 kids and a wife in tow.. with nothing but our flight tickets booked. We knew our first destination was Paris via London but what later??We stayed in the cheapest of hotels... spend the nights in the train so as to save on hotel fare and literally had breakfast in one city and dinner in another. When we look back now he wonders how he has the guts to just take off.. but thats the magic of youth.
My next major trip with Dad was to Australia and New Zealand. We could now say that he had become old :) cause we stayed in the best of hotels and had everything planned. And also now with his kids he had his grandson in tow :)
But now I think its time for me to explore places on my own... Just backpack around India... The only thing holding me back now i think is someone to travel with and also convincing mom, dad to let me go... which is a task in its own :) I wish i could become a travel write or a travel show host. It would be like the perfect profession... imagine visiting all these awesome places and being paid to do so... Well hopefully one day i will take off.. and then will surely post my escapades here... but till then will make my self happy with the Travel and Living channel.....

My foray into the world of Blogging

So finally i have a blog of my own. After spending like a zillion hours trying to get a blog name thats not already taken, I had almost given up. But then like a bolt from the unknown there were the golden words... "this name is avaliable ". So out of absolute frustration my identity has been created "kblabber".
